The
objective of this program is to insure the proper management, storage and disposal
of used needles and other potentially infectious medical wastes.
We conduct
regular inspections of medical waste generators, including hospitals and clinics,
to verify compliance with the Medical Waste Management Act.
We also investigate
complaints and act as a resource to provide information to both the public and
the medical industry.
