Public Health Laboratory

 

The Kings County Public Health Laboratory is a California and Medicare certified laboratory that provides a full range of diagnostic microbiological and immunological examinations in the control of infectious and communicable diseases.

The lab provides specialized diagnostic testing for serious infectious diseases including:

HIV
tuberculosis
chlamydia
gonorrhea
syphilis
valley fever

And is the only lab in the county that does rabies testing.

The lab provides a range of environmental testing services, which includes testing drinking water for coliform bacteria and has recently begun blood lead testing.

Our reference services can provide assistance regarding any public health concern.
