The
Kings County Public Health Laboratory is a California and Medicare certified laboratory
that provides a full range of diagnostic microbiological and immunological examinations
in the control of infectious and communicable diseases.
The
lab provides specialized diagnostic testing for serious infectious diseases including:
 HIV
tuberculosis
chlamydia
gonorrhea
syphilis
valley fever |
And is the
only lab in the county that does rabies testing.
The
lab provides a range of environmental testing services, which includes testing
drinking water for coliform bacteria and has recently begun blood lead testing.
