PERMANENT ABSENT VOTER INSTRUCTIONS

To become a permanent absentee voter:

• Complete the on-line Permanent Absent Voter Application.
• Print the completed application form
• Sign & date the form where indicated and mail to:

In order to assure that your ballot arrives in time, our office must receive your completed application at least (7) seven days prior to the election for which you would like to receive a ballot by mail.

Once you have been added to the permanent absentee voter rolls, the election office will mail you a ballot for all future elections in which you are eligible to vote.

Voters who fail to return their absent voter ballot for any statewide general election will, in accordance with California law, be removed from the permanent absentee voter rolls and will no longer automatically receive a ballot by mail.

You may also request an application by phone by calling (559) 582-3211 Ext. 4401 or drop by our office at the Kings County Government Center any weekday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer in order to complete the Permanent Absent Voter Application on-line. If you do not have the reader it may be downloaded and installed for free. Click on the "Get Acrobat Reader" button below and follow the on-line instructions.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL VOTANTE AUSENTES PERMANENTES

Para hacer un votante permanente ausente:

• Complete por computadora Aplicación de Votador Ausente Permanente (Permanent Absent Voter Application).
• Complete el formulario de solicitud y imprima
• Firme y complete la fecha donde indica la forma y envié a:

Para asegurar que su votación llegue a tiempo, nuestra oficina debe recibir su aplicación completada por lo menos (7) siete días antes de la elección para que reciba su boleta por correo.

 Una vez que usted ha sido añadido a las lista de permanentes de votante ausente, la oficina de la elección le enviará una votación para todas elecciones futuras en las que usted tiene derecho a votar.

Los votantes que regresen su boleta de  votador ausente para la elección general  del estado, de acuerdo con la ley de California, se quitara de la lista permanentes de votante ausente y ya no recibirá automáticamente una votación por el correo.

Usted también puede solicitar una aplicación por teléfono llamando al (559) 582-3211 Ext. 4401 o venga a nuestra oficina en el Centro de Gobierno del Condado de Kings cualquier día de la semana entre 8:00 de la mañana y 5:00 de la tarde.
