Hello, I am Doug Verboon and I am a lifelong resident of Hanford, California, a 1981 graduate of Hanford High School and a 3rd generation farmer of Gold Top Ranch located in Hanford.
I began my farming career alongside my grandfather, William, and my father, Bill. In 2005, I began a career in commercial property management when I purchased the Cinnamon Square Shopping Center in Lemoore, California.
I have been active as trustee of Pioneer School District for 16 years, and was instrumental in helping Pioneer become the first charter school district in the State of California.
I am a member of Kings County Farm Bureau, District Advisory Council for Sequoia Walnut and Future Leaders Board for Diamond Walnuts.
My hobbies are golfing, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding and, my most prolific hobby is restoring and painting classic cars.
My wife, Jill and I have four adult children: Cassandra, Courtney, Arie and Chelsea.
I believe that I have the knowledge and abilities to assist the people of Kings County in making sure that their government responds to their needs and is held accountable to them and I look forward to serving the people of Kings County.
