Food Stamps/ SNAP Program

Food Stamps is a Federally Funded program that supplements a low-income family’s food budget in order to ensure they are getting adequate nutrition.  The program name is Food Stamps but beneficiaries no longer receive their benefits in stamps.  Instead they receive them electronically on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.  For more information on EBT go to:
http://www.cdss.ca.gov/cdssweb/entres/forms/English/PUB388.pdf

If your EBT Card is lost or stolen please call:  1-877-328-9677.

California Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is a state-funded program for legal permanent non-citizens legally present in the U.S. and determined ineligible for federal food stamp benefits solely due to their immigration status.

Are You Eligible to Receive Food Stamp Benefits?

This Pre-Screening Tool can be used to determine if you may be eligible to receive Food Stamp benefits.  This Pre-Screening Tool is not an application for Food Stamps.  An application for Food Stamps must be made at your local Food Stamp office or using C4 Yourself Application.   C4Yourself ® is an online application system that allows you to apply for benefits: https://www.c4yourself.com/c4yourself/
