General Plan Advisory Committee
The purpose of this Committee is to act as an advisory agency to the Kings County Planning Commission and also the Kings County Board of Supervisors on matters involving the General Plan. The primary focus of the Committee is guide the physical growth of the unincorporated portion of Kings County and the conservation of its resources through the year 2030 in a manner consistent with the goals of the people of Kings County. The Committee studies problems of general or special interest assigned by the Planning Commission and/or the Board of Supervisors, undertakes special studies as needed or requested relating to the physical growth of the unincorporated portion of Kings County, reviews important proposed State Legislation affecting the physical growth of the unincorporated portion of Kings County, and other matters of general concern or interest to Kings County, and thereafter provides information and make recommendations to both the Kings County Planning Commission and also the Kings County Board of Supervisors.
Meetings of the Committee are scheduled to meet on the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM and will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, Kings County Government Center, 1400 W. Lacey Boulevard, Hanford, California. |
