Our Mission Statement

The Kings County Veterans Service Office provides advocacy, assistance and services designed to enhance the lives of the County's veterans, their families, and their survivors, who served their country in the Armed Forces.

We assist in obtaining entitlements and services from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), California Department of Veterans Affairs (CDVA), and local programs for eligible veterans and their families.

Kings County Veterans Service Office representatives are dedicated to providing the best customer service supporting to any and all county veterans.

The Kings County Veterans Service Office welcomes any and all questions from veterans and their family members.

How does Your County Veterans Affairs Work for You?
The Kings County Veterans Service office Veterans Service Representatives are not employees of the Veterans Administration. They are however,
Accredited by the Veterans Administration as well and many other Veterans Service Organizations. Some of the organizations are:

  • Veterans Administration
  • American Legion
  • California Department of Veterans Affairs
  • American Veterans
  • Disabled American Veterans

The representatives are Kings County employees who stands ready to assist you with any and all veterans issues that you or your family members may have.

Your representatives can assist you with any of the following issues:

Comprehensive benefit counseling.
Claim development, preparation and submission.
Case management.
Initiate appeals when appropriate.
Network with federal, state and local agencies.
Public speaking - media relations.
Assistance with the following primary entitlements:

  • Disability Compensation (service connected).
  • Disability Pension (service connected).
  • Dependency Indemnity Compensation (DIC) for surviving spouse and children.
  • Death Pension for surviving spouse and children.
  • VA, CHAMPVA, and TRICARE medical care access.

  • College Tuition Fee Waiver for dependents.

  • Housebound, Aid and Attendance benefits.
